Make Your Door a Virtual Business Card

If you are an educator, business professional, or someone who often works outside of their office space, here is a simple and effective tool you can use to communicate with visitors, even when you are not around. Although this was initially designed for teachers and professors, other business professionals have found this simple method valuable for capturing leads, and pre-educating potential clients and customers.

Consider the following facts:
1) The person made time to travel to your office. This could indicate their interest in discussing your services or their situation with you.
2) Regardless as to whether the person sent you an email or left a phone message, they still came to your office. This indicates some desire for confidentiality or desire to connect with you in-person.
3) The effort made by the person to engage with you in-person displays their willingness to converse. In a manner of speaking, they have pre-qualified themselves as a potential client or customer.

Leverage The Opportunity
Unlike with a website, the sheer fact that a person physically made themselves available to communicate speaks volumes, and provides a unique opportunity for you. Below I've outlined a way to leverage the opportunity by making your door a virtual business card anytime you are away from your office.

There are other free tools you can use to automatically meet someone virtually, that were not covered in this brief tutorial so, consider those mentioned here as a starting point. Click this link for an audio version of this blog post.

Best wishes!

They can also help us to develop new skills and abilities that we can use to achieve our goals. Here are some examples of how challenges can be disguised opportunities. Recognize the pattern that emerges from every challenge, then apply the pattern to the very personal and unique challenge you are experiencing: A job loss can be an opportunity to start your own business. When you lose your job, you may be forced to think outside the box and come up with a new way to make a living. This can be a great opportunity to start your own business and pursue your passion. A health scare can be an opportunity to make lifestyle changes. When you have a health scare, it can be a wake-up call that you need to make some changes in your life. This can be an opportun...

Police Intelligence Operations (PIO)

Police Intelligence Operations The foundation of PIO is information and the reality is that credible information has a shelf life; "too old, fast - too smart, slow" The value in the information is diminished over time, so the challenge is in assessing the ' Source ' of the information as well as it's ' Credibility ' as quickly and accurately as possible. One of the best methods for achieving this goal is by applying the Source Reliability and the Information Credibility assessment rubrics. The training on how to apply these rubrics to any information assessment task is relatively simple, and the goal, as depicted in the image below demonstrates the simplicity. Data Assessment Scale The greater the reliability and credibility, the higher the likelihood of an accurate assessment.
